The decisions made in the next five years about AI infrastructure will determine whether cognitive privacy exists as a concept for future generations. If the current model persists — where every AI interaction is logged, stored, and mined — the precedent will calcify. The expectation that AI requires surveillance will become an assumption, and the assumption will become an architecture, and the architecture will become inescapable.
